DAY 5 AT REJSBY SCHOOL 23rd January

DIA 5 NA ESCOLA 23 JANEIRO

At 8:15h we went by bus to Aarhus (considered the European capital of culture in 2017) and we visited  Aarhus Kunstmuseum, where we saw a statue of a woman which looked like a real person. After that, we started the tour and we saw two exhibitions. The first one was called "Bacon, Freud, and the London painters" and the second "Cool Calm and Collected". All the artists were men except one of them, who was a woman, a Portuguese woman, called Paula Rego.

Then we went to a museum called "Den Gamle By", where we could see what family life was like throughout decades.

For lunch we went downtown to the most typical restaurant in Denmark... McDONALDS!!!...

In the afternoon we went to another museum, "MOMU Moesgdaard Museum", where half of the group visited the Stone Age exhibition and another half visited the Viking exhibition.

Às 8:15 fomos de autocarro até Aarhus (considerada a capital europeia da cultura em 2017) e visitámos Aarhus Kunstmuseum,  onde vimos uma estátua de uma mulher que parecia real. Depois disso, começámos a visita e vimos duas exibições. A primeira chamava-se  "Bacon, Freud, and the London painters"e a segunda Cool Calm and Collected". Todos os artistas eram homens exceto um deles, que era uma mulher portuguesa, chamada Paula Rego.

Depois fomos a um museu chamado "Den Gamle By, onde pudemos ver como era a vida familiar ao longo das décadas.

Ao almoço fomos ao centro da cidade, ao restaurante mais típico da Dinamarca...McDONALDS!!!...

Durante a tarde fomos a outro museu, MOMU Moesgdaard Museum",  onde metade do grupo visitou uma exposiçao sobre a Idade da Pedra e a outra metade uma sobre os Vikings.
