DAY 6 AT REJSBY SCHOOL 24th January


DIA 6 NA ESCOLA 24 JANEIRO

On the 24th January, we went to Esbjerg and we went to the Wadden Sea. There we saw 4 huge statues called "Men looking at the sea". On the beach, the weather was really bad because it was insanely windy and cold.  After our trip to the beach, we went to the "Fisheries and Maritime Museum", which is also in Esbjerg. 
In the museum, we dissected a squid and we also saw plenty of fish in tanks. We saw the feeding of the seals as well.
In the afternoon, after our visit to the Museum, we went to the center of Esbjerg and we went ice-skating. Only the brave ones dared to do ice skating because it was really cold and we were like freezing to death.
After that "amazing" ice-skating experience, we went back to the bus and came to school. 
When we arrived at school, we had like an hour left to do whatever we wanted to do before having dinner.
After having dinner, we had a meeting with our teachers to talk about our experience on the exchange programme and then we did some traditional Danish dances.  
Tomorrow we will spend our day in a German city called Flensburg and then we'll fly back to Portugal.


No dia 24 de Janeiro, estivemos em Esbjerg e fomos ao Wadden Sea. Lá vimos 4 estátuas enormes chamadas "Men looking at the sea" (em Português: Homens a olhar para o mar). Na praia, o tempo estava mesmo mau porque estava muito vento e frio. Depois da nossa visita à praia, estivemos no museu  "Fisheries and maritime Museum ", que também fica em Esbjerg. 
No museu, dissecámos uma lula e também vimos uma grande variedade de peixes em aquários. Do mesmo modo, assistimos ao alimentar das focas.
Durante a tarde, depois da nossa visita ao museu, estivemos no centro de Esbjerg e estivemos a patinar no gelo. Apenas os mais corajosos experimentaram patinar no gelo porque estava muito frio e estávamos a congelar até à morte.
Depois da "maravilhosa" experiência de patinagem no gelo, voltámos ao autocarro e regressámos à escola. 
Quando chegámos à escola, tivemos cerca de uma hora livre para fazermos o que quiséssemos antes do jantar.  
Depois de jantarmos, tivemos uma reuniao com as nossas professoras para falarmos sobre a nossa experiência no programa de intercâmbio e depois fizemos dancas tradicionais Dinamarquesas.
Amanha vamos passar o nosso dia numa cidade Alema chamada Flensburg e depois vamos voar de volta a Portugal.

DAY 5 AT REJSBY SCHOOL 23rd January DIA 5 NA ESCOLA 23 JANEIRO At 8:15h we went by bus to Aarhus (considered the European capital of culture in 2017) and we visited   Aarhus Kunstmuseum , where we saw a statue of a woman which looked like a real person. After that, we started the tour and we saw two exhibitions. The first one was called "Bacon, Freud, and the London painters" and the second "Cool Calm and Collected". All the artists were men except one of them, who was a woman, a Portuguese woman, called Paula Rego. Then we went to a museum called "Den Gamle By", where we could see what family life was like throughout decades. For lunch we went downtown to the most typical restaurant in Denmark... McDONALDS!!!... In the afternoon we went to another museum, " MOMU Moesgdaard Museum", where half of the group visited the Stone Age exhibition and another half visited the Viking exhibition. Às 8:15 fomos de autocarro até Aarh...
